BRAND PROFILE

Barez Industrial Group, one of Iran’s leading tire manufacturers, was established in 1984 in Kerman. Since its inception, Barez has grown from a domestic tire manufacturer into a leading player in Iran’s tire industry, driven by a strong commitment to quality, technological advancement, innovation, and customer satisfaction. Today, the Group manufactures a comprehensive range of tires for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, trucks and buses, as well as off-road applications. Barez’s journey of technological development began with the signing of its first technical cooperation agreement with Dena Tire Company, formerly associated with Bridgestone in Iran. The Group subsequently expanded its technological capabilities through cooperation with international technology providers, including TRI of Russia and Marangoni of Italy, particularly in the development and production of radial tires. Over the following decades, Barez further strengthened its technological foundation through a long-term technology partnership with Continental, enabling the Group to develop and manufacture a broad portfolio of radial tires based on advanced German tire technology. A major milestone in Barez’s growth was the establishment of its Kurdistan Plant in 2017, incorporating Liong technology and designed to reach an annual production capacity of 14,000 tons. Together with the expansion of the Kerman Plant, this investment significantly strengthened Barez’s manufacturing capabilities and positioned the Group among Iran’s leading tire manufacturers in terms of production volume and product quality. Looking ahead, Barez is pursuing an ambitious growth and capacity expansion strategy. The Group is planning to expand its existing Kerman and Kurdistan plants while establishing a new manufacturing facility in Lorestan Province. With a target of reaching an annual production capacity of 250,000 tons, these investments will strengthen Barez’s manufacturing capabilities, broaden its product portfolio, and support its ambition to become a leading regional tire manufacturer.

History of technology transfer

Innovation and technological development are at the heart of Barez’s growth strategy. The Group established one of Iran’s first dedicated professional Research and Development (R&D) functions in the tire industry, focused on developing new tire sizes, patterns, technologies, and performance characteristics. Through its R&D capabilities, Barez has developed and introduced a diverse portfolio of products, including Truck and Bus Radial (TBR), Passenger Car Radial (PCR), Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), Crossover Utility Vehicle (CUV), Van Radial, and Off-the-Road (OTR) tires. Barez is also recognized for its capabilities in all-steel TBR technology and SUV tire design, contributing to one of the most comprehensive tire portfolios in the Iranian market. To ensure product performance, safety, and reliability, Barez conducts comprehensive indoor and outdoor testing. The Group operates one of Iran’s largest dedicated tire and vehicle proving grounds, developed based on IDIADA technology from Spain. These testing capabilities enable Barez to continuously improve tire safety, durability, comfort, and overall performance. Barez’s commitment to quality and international standards is further demonstrated by its ECE E-mark approval and certifications and approvals from major automotive manufacturers, including Renault, Mercedes-Benz (for heavy vehicles), Iveco, and Peugeot.

Barez has established long-standing partnerships with leading Iranian automotive manufacturers, including Iran Khodro, Iran Khodro Diesel, SAIPA, SAIPA Diesel, Zamyad, Mammut, and Maral, supplying tires for Original Equipment (OE) applications. In the Replacement Equipment (RE) market, Barez has developed an extensive nationwide sales and distribution network designed to respond efficiently to customer needs. With nearly 580 dealers, 70 direct sales centers, and 200 after-sales and warranty service centers across Iran, Barez operates one of the country’s most extensive tire distribution and service networks. The Group has also expanded its international presence by exporting its products to markets including Turkey, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Armenia, and Azerbaijan.

Barez’s activities extend beyond tire manufacturing. Through Barez Sirjan, the Group is developing capabilities across the tire value chain, including the production of key materials such as bead wire and reclaimed rubber, as well as tire retreading. These activities support Barez’s commitment to the principles of the circular economy by promoting resource efficiency, extending product life cycles, recovering valuable materials, and reducing waste. By integrating upstream material production and downstream tire recovery and retreading into its operations, Barez is taking steps toward a more sustainable and circular tire value chain.

The Group’s manufacturing and distribution capabilities are complemented by Barez Tarabar, which is responsible for transporting Barez products to destinations across Iran. By providing dedicated transportation and logistics capabilities, Barez Tarabar enables the Group to strengthen supply reliability, improve delivery efficiency, and maintain greater control over its distribution network. This integrated logistics capability represents a significant competitive advantage for Barez, enabling the Group to serve customers across the country more efficiently and responsively.

Today, Barez Industrial Group combines manufacturing scale, technological expertise, innovation, quality, an extensive distribution network, integrated logistics, and a growing circular value chain to create sustainable value for customers, partners, and other stakeholders. Building on these capabilities, Barez is advancing its digital transformation and embracing emerging technologies to enhance operational excellence, accelerate innovation, strengthen competitiveness, and drive long-term growth across the entire value chain.
